Torghelle was the commanding officer of the UN Force sent to the island of Heimaey following the crash of an alien craft. He worked with Marita Covarrubias towards understanding the craft's identity, and witnessed it when the shield was dropped. He narrowly stopped an attempt to escape the island by Niet Vaats, who was impersonating him. Torghelle was shot dead along with his aides by Adjutant following the crash site's destruction.
